  Digital interlectual property course term project. Implement the "Fast Algorithms for the Discrete Cosine Transform" paper (Ephraim Feig and Shmuel Winograd, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing 1992) on FPGA.
• Animating Pictures with Stochastic Motion Textures (2005 Summer)
  A demo program for the paper presentation in ACM SIGGRAPH 2005, Los Angeles. Port the authors' software-implemented system to a GPU-based one which is capable of realtime rendering.
• Optics-based Image Matting (2005 Spring)
  Digital visual effects course term project. Develop an algorithm to automatically construct the binary matte of a portrait.
• Film Restoration (2005 Spring)
  A project supported by Chinese Taipei Film Archive and cooperated with digimax. Build an interactive system for the digital film restoration process.
• Colorization (2004 Fall)
  Digital image processing course term project. Based on the "Colorization using Optimization" (Anat Levin et al. in Proceedings of ACM SIGGRAPH 2004) paper, design a one-pass algorithm to solve the colorization problem.
• JPEG codec and MPEG1 decoder (2004 Spring)
  Information theory and coding techniques course projects. Build a baseline JPEG codec and an MPEG1 I-picture decoder (visual).
• Face Recognition System (2004 Spring)
  Pattern recognition course term project. Build a face recognition system with PCA, MDA, and image processing techniques.
